Extent of range - Dream comes true

Silclear Ltd was incorporated in 1987. Continued growth through the early and mid 1990s resulted in the company relocating initially to a larger unit in 1996, and subsequently adding a second unit on the same estate. By 2001 a further move was required to the present larger site to accommodate additional processing equipment, and to bring all manufacturing, warehousing and administration under one roof.

Today, Silclear manufactures more than 300 stock items and 50 bespoke products.

The dream to be able to supply dairy farmers around the world with Silclear from 'teat to tanker' has come true.
Both Steve Briggs, Chief Industrial Chemist/Director of Silclear Ltd (U.K) and Jackie Carey, Marketing/Co-Director, are delighted to have accomplished this goal. Steve emphasises that " the introduction of the well tested Silclear liner means that now over 300 Silclear products are available to use."

Steve, who is pictured holding the Silclear Liner , goes on to explain that "the Silclear liner design is unique in eliminating the 'snap' close on the teats, giving a painless gentle milking for the cow without the loss of speed. The objective in developing this new design is to reduce the incidence level of machine caused mastitis." The massaging action is much kinder and many farmers report heifers taking a quick liking to them.

Along with the liners - other new fittings, (including the E2 (40mm) 90o Elbow, T2 (32mm) Long Tee, (held by Jackie in the picture below), and the Diaphragms and Transfer Valves, ( A14, A15, A16, A17, A17A see news article 1 ), have extended the range even further. Jackie indicates that seeing the range grow over the years has been utterly satisfying and that 'the development of the liner is simply the icing on the cake - complimenting all the tubing and fittings developed before it.'
