JAR BOTTOM TEES - Taps instead of Bungs
Many farmers needing new Jar Bottom Tees are enjoying working with the tap version instead of using a bung.
Using taps can be more convenient as:- |
 |
- taps are good for agitating milk so you can get a true representative sample
- they can speed up milk recording
- you can just leave the tap going whilst doing something else
- it's easy to turn off again (using a bung can be a hassle)
taps are easy to keep clean (they are removable)

LINER ASSEMBLY INFO
Putting new or cleaned liners into Shells
When fitting your replacement Silclear
liners into the clear shells, we recommend
that you use the following procedure: -
- You will need a pair of long-nosed
pliers to help make the job of changing
your new liners into your existing
shells very easy.
- Wrap tell-tail tape, or similar, around
each jaw of the pliers to stop them
damaging the ends of the new liners.
Please note the plier jaws can be
very sharp and may cut into the silicone
material if this precaution is not
taken.
- Insert the liner into the top end of the
shell, and then the pliers into the bottom
end of the shell.
- Push the liner onto one jaw of the
pliers, in such a way that you can
firmly grip the liner between the two
jaws of the pliers (picture 1).
- Pull the liner through the bottom
hole of the shell using one strong
pull (picture 2).
- Fit the notch of the liner into the bottom
of the shell.
- Fit the head over the top end of the
shell, taking care to ensure that the
liner is straight.
- Attach to thoroughly degreased liner
spigot on your milking claw.
Removing Liners from Shells
1) Detach head of liner from top of shell.
2) Push notch through bottom of shell
3) Push thickened bottom end of liner
through shell (see picture 3)
4) Pull out.
